If you only can see one side of a house, do you assume the whole house is the same color, or do you leave yourself open to the possiblilty that the color of the other sides may be different?
We usually don’t have access to all of the facts leading up to the perceived situation we witness and form a judgment upon. With only limited facts, we are forced to “fill in the gaps” with what we believe to be” truths,” and because we have nothing else to refute the supposed “truths” we imagined, those “truths” must then be reality.
Sometimes those supposed “realities” can cause misunderstandings, and lead to hurt feelings and resentment. In considering this, we must remember to leave ourselves open to other possibilities.
“There are no facts, only interpretations.” ~ Freidrich Nietzche
