“The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of
your state of mind.” ~Wayne W. Dyer
The other night I made a phone call to customer support for
my cell phone service. I had to order a
different phone because the one I have was not working correctly.
When the customer service representative answered the phone, she asked
how I was doing (it was about 10 PM at the time). I said, “I’m doing great!” and I meant
it.
She was surprised by my response, and she said, “You are the
most cheerful person I have talked to tonight!”
I guess I didn’t think about the fact that she usually talks
to people who are complaining that their phones don’t work, and want a new one.
Anyway, after we took care of the transaction, she thanked
me for making her evening, as she “felt much better and more positive” after
talking with me. It was all good,
because I got great customer service and had a smooth transaction. After all, I was the one requesting a
different phone, so I had better have been nice if I wanted something!
Remember that people can feed off of your current state of
being. If you are having a great day,
perhaps you will give someone some much-needed positivity too!
Have a great week (and I mean it)!
