Canned goods

“Success comes in cans, not cant's.” ~Author Unknown

Since we were young enough to understand our parents, we were told what we could and could not do.  Our parents had good intentions, because, for example, they didn’t want us to touch a hot stove or climb onto a chair because they wanted to keep us safe from harm.  We grew up learning what we could not do – we grew up with limits placed upon us.

As we grew older, our teachers also told us what we could or could not do, again from the interest of keeping us out of trouble and in order, so that we could learn something.

As we matured, even though we all knew we had the freedom to choose what we could or could not do, we carried along with us the programming that was plugged into us over the many years under the supervision of our parents and other authority figures.  It worked so well, in fact, that we bought into it, and we used limited thinking to prevent us from experiencing the pain of failure, or feeling uncomfortable trying something new – even if we had the potential and the capability to do so!

We have had so many people telling us what we cannot do…How about someone telling us what we actually can do?  We have to give ourselves permission to do it!

It’s time to free ourselves from limited thinking.  If you can dream it, you can make it happen!  If you find yourself saying “I can’t,” follow it up with the question, “Why not?”

You are only as limited as you allow yourself to be.  Why not consider the possibilities and the potential you possess inside of you?

It’s time to get rid of the cant's!  Reach for the cans!

Have a great day!  You can do it!
