"Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option.” ~Laurel Sheck
When someone says or does something harmful, it's wise to keep in perspective how high a regard you hold for the person who performed the offending action. Does this person mean a lot to you, or is this person someone whom you wouldn't even consider a friend, if you didn't have to deal with this person on a regular basis?
Sometimes, we let our feelings get hurt by people who we wouldn't even want to have as friends in the first place. Why should we let our feelings become dominated by the offendings of the immature and the unimportant?
Remember, only you can determine your happiness. Your happiness is not dependent on how other people treat you or what they say to you. Your happiness is dependent on whether you choose to be happy or not! Happiness comes from within, and when you search for the positive and good in yourself, and remind yourself how great you are and how valuable you are, the opinions of others on the "outside" don't matter quite as much.
Have a great week!
