Comfortable?

“Everything you want is outside your comfort zone.” ~Robert Allen

When a child learns to tie his or her shoes, it is not a comfortable or pleasant experience.  Any parent can relate to watching a child struggle for minutes on what the parent considers a routine and easy task.  It would be so easy for the parent to step in, but the parent realizes that the struggle, outside of the comfortable, is necessary in order for the child to achieve success and become independent.

Just as a chick needs to struggle to hatch from its egg and a butterfly needs to struggle to emerge from its chrysalis, we all need to meet and overcome our challenges in order to achieve success down the road.
We feel a tremendous sense of positive self esteem and confidence when we venture into the uncomfortable and challenging, only to accomplish our goal.

What challenges do you face?  Are you up to pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, just as a child pushes his or her self through the struggles of tying their shoes, in order to achieve whatever it is you wish to accomplish?

Remember, everything you want lies before you.  It’s just beyond your “comfort zone.”  I challenge you to pick one challenge you face, and make the choice to take it on.  The positive feelings and confidence you gain from accomplishing your goal will provide you with fuel to face new and far more significant changes.

Have a great week!

-Victor
