Last year, around this time, a lot of people were concerned about getting the "swine" flu, or the H1N1 virus. Each year, around the end of summer and into the fall, a lot of people consider getting the flu shot to help keep them healthy throughout the winter season.
Whether or not you got a flu shot, one way you can consider trying to stay healthy is by harnessing the power of the elderberry. Elderberry extract has been shown in clinincal studies to help shorten the flu if you get it, by inhibiting an enzyme called "neuraminidase."
In one 2004 study conducted in Norway and presented at the 15th Annual Conference on Antiviral Research, elderberry extract cured 93% of flu patients within two days compared to six days in the group given a placebo.
There are a lot of different forms you can get the extract in, from liquid to tablets, and there are a lot of different brands as well.
Consider harnessing the power of the elderberry to keep you a little healthier this holiday and winter season!
Best wishes,
Victor
